How was your Thanksgiving? If you’re in the US. If not, what have you been up to in the eons since the last post?
I’ve been settling into the house, unpacking, finding out that it wasn’t enough to just move in — we have projects upon projects. I’ve been told that’s pretty much the gist of home ownership.
It is so worth it.
Lately, I’ve been in one of those slumps that happen when I’m between writing-projects and manage to overextend myself in every other direction. That more than anything tells me the holiday season is in full swing. But! I’m still writing. I may not have a project, but there are words on paper. (So many letters to write! And I don’t just mean the MYWS project.)
Most recently, I’ve been giving Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way a try. Some friends are doing it with me, keeping me honest, and it hasn’t even been a full week yet. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a 12-week course designed to unlock and boost creativity. We’ll see how this goes.
…And now to resume your not-quite-as-irregularly-scheduled updates.
